The Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema (Prema Ayurveda Health Trust) has the objective to contribute for a better knowledge and to impulse for the development of Ayurveda and all the preventive and therapeutic tools that allow its use in the area of health.
On 2000 Dr Berra conducted the first Postgraduate Annual Course on Ayurvedic Medicine approved by the Faculty of Medicine – Buenos Aires University. Mrs. Shailaja Chandra, then Secretary of the Dept. of the Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, has congratulated us for this important achievement that in her knowledge, is the first Postgraduate Course in a Western country at a public state university.
The Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema has signed and Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat Ayurved University and is recognized as a Collaborative Center for Teaching and Research in Argentina. The MoU was signed in 2001 and was renewed periodically to date. This agreement was made after being authorized by the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs of the Government of India. The Gujarat Ayurved University is supported by the Ministry of AYUSH and is one of the institutions that determine the standards in the field of Ayurveda in India and abroad.
Later, it was approved also a University Distance Learning Course on Ayurvedic Medicine.

In 2016, the Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema was designated as the seat responsible for the Chair of Ayurveda in Argentina, by the Ministry of AYUSH – Government of the Republic of India. The Chair of Ayurveda will be in the city of Buenos Aires in the facilities of the Foundation, within the framework of a Tripartite Agreement in the Central Research Council of Ayurvedic Sciences, the Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema and the Great Rosario University.
The Foundation is a non-university entity that dictates different Courses that currently have the joint certification of the Argentine Medical Association (EGAMA – Graduate School) and the Great Rosario University.
At the national level, the teaching activities carried out by the Foundation are sponsored by the Embassy of India in the Argentine Republic.
We are participating at the undergraduate level delivering a module on Ayurveda at Faculty of Medicine – El Salvador University and conducting modules of Ayurveda also at different Postgraduate Courses carried out at Belgrano University and Favaloro University.
Courses, lectures, seminars and workshops have been taught in Ministries of Health, Universities and scientific societies and professional congresses in 16 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Germany, Spain and India.
The Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema has cooperation ties in the field of Ayurveda with other leading international institutions, including the International Ayurvedic Academy of India, the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America and the European Academy of Ayurveda.
Dr. Jorge Luis Berra participated as an invited expert at the Working Group Meeting organized by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of AYUSH (India) to elaborate the “Benchmarks on the Practice of Ayurveda». The meeting was held at the National Institute of Ayurveda (Jaipur – India) from September 17-19, 2018.
